3D range of motion analysis
Wearable sensor technology, particularly inertial measurement sensors are used in various motion analysis including applications in sport, medicine, and rehabilitation of patients after stroke. 3D representation of motion data derived during free-living activities remain challenging, hence provide a great opportunity for scientific contributions.
In this project we aim to analyse the range of motion in patients after stroke. In particular we aim to develop an intuitive analysis tool based on orientation estimation using inertial sensor data. We will evaluate the orientation estimation-accuracy in lab-controlled experiments and demonstrate the functionality of 3D range of motion analysis. In addition, we will evaluate the orientation estimation accuracy of different fusion filter.
