Biography

In 2004, Giovanni Schiboni pursued a career in biomedical engineering at “Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma”, Rome (Italy). In 2011, he obtained a MSc. in biomedical engineering, with focus on bioinformatics, at the same academic institution. After his master degree, he worked as technical support assistant in an industrial softwares company in Italy, studying and testing industrial automation systems. In 2013, he moved to Bristol (UK) and, in 2015, he received a MRes. in Advanced Engineering Robotics at Bristol Robotics Laboratory, “University of West England”.

Currently,  Giovanni is part of the ACROSSING project (http://www.acrossing-itn.eu/), as ESR Marie Curie fellow, and pursuing his PhD degree, as member of ACTLab, at “Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg”, Erlangen (Germany). His research project is focused on energy-efficiency of wearable sensing technology applied to automatic dietary monitoring.
