Seminar: Smart eyeglasses sensor optimisation
Background
Sensors are integrated into smart eyeglasses for daily activity monitoring. Some of the sensors must be configured at specific eyeglasses locations with proper orientations to function correctly and effectively. The optimal sensor configuration varies from head to head. In current practice, sensor locations are optimised manually in the 3D modelling phase. However, the manual optimising procedure discourages fast integration.
Aim
Develop algorithms to automatically optimise sensor location and orientation for smart eyeglasses.
Learning objectives
- Understand principles of eyeglasses personalisation and sensor integration.
- Develop algorithms to automate the processes of optimising sensor configuration.
- Generate personalised smart eyeglasses.
