Seminar: Eyeglasses style generator
Background
With the rapid development of computer vision and AI technology, the personalisation of eyeglasses is processed by algorithms. Algorithms can be good at anthropometric fitting, i.e. deciding the dimensions of eyeglasses, yet weak in dealing with the aesthetic preferences. A typical challenge is how to quickly yield the eyeglasses style required by a wearer.
Aim
Develop algorithms to generate 3D eyeglasses matching a given style in an example image.
Learning objectives
- Understand principles of eyeglasses personalisation.
- Develop algorithms to extract eyeglasses styles from images.
- Generate 3D eyeglasses models of the extracted styles.
