3D ear landmark detection
Course/Project description
Head landmarks are the key points that describe the shape of the head attributes, e.g. eyes, nose, and chin etc. Most available landmark detection algorithms focus on the facial landmarks detection, which do not cover ears. However, ears are very important reference positions for many applications, e.g. earable and eyeglasses design. The project focuses on ear landmark detection. In the project, we will go through state-of-art ear detection methods and define a set of landmarks that is useful for earable and eyeglasses design. Finally, we will modify / build a detection method using 2D-images and 3D-shapes of existing datasets.
